Stafford Information
Stafford Families, We have just completed our first week of the 2022-2023 school year! I am excited about the questions, concerns, collaboration, and clarity. We are all coming together to make this a successful start to the school year. Highlights: *School starts at 7:50am. Please have your student here before this tardy time. *The academic portion of school has begun. The first few days are about getting to know the teacher, routines, and procedures, and now we are in the full swing of growing in knowledge and learning each day. *At Stafford, we focus on being a Stafford HERO. Helpful, Engaged, Respectful, On Task. Stafford Elementary is blessed to have a variety of community partners, who contribute in various ways. This morning, State Trooper Vela donated a sign to help us with arrival/dismissal. Later in the morning, Central Baptist of Italy donated a check to the Stafford Library to help purchase books for students to read this year. We are thankful and excited for these partnerships as we begin our 2022-2023 school year. God bless and Go Stafford!

Beginning in the 2022-2023 school year, Italy ISD will begin offering annual student drug testing as part of our comprehensive drug-testing program. Drug and alcohol abuse negatively affect a student’s safety, personal life, health, and academic performance. With parental consent, students in grades 7-12 who plan to participate in any school-sponsored extracurricular activities, as well as student drivers, are encouraged to participate. This program will consist of an initial annual drug test as well as random testing throughout the school year. The Italy ISD School Board approved Drug Testing Guidelines and consent form can be found at this link: https://ihs.italyisd.org/o/ihs/page/student-drug-testing
