STAFFORD ELEMENTARY REMINDERS: Monday, August 7th – Meet the Teacher Night at Stafford Elementary 5pm-6pm. Please enter through the cafeteria door that faces Harris Street. Students must be registered to be on a class list. Please fill out the transportation form in your students' classroom for car rider, walker and bus rider. Locations of Class Lists PreK-Kinder – On the cafeteria tables 1st – 2nd Grades – On the library windows 3rd-6th Grades – Go toward 3rd-6th grade hall by turning left at the library, they will be on both sides of these glass windows. Wednesday, August 9th – First Day of School! Stafford school hours are 7:45am-4:15pm, doors open at 7:20am and breakfast begins at 7:25am. The car drop off is around the playground off Dilworth Street. Students will enter through the gym doors. PreK & Kinder students may have 2 people walk them to class today only. A student is tardy at 7:45am please go to the front door and sign them in at the office. Friday, August 11th – All students and staff attend school. Please login to your parent portal. Complete the online registration process every school year for all New, Returning and Transfer students. Students must be registered to be on a class list. PreK students need proof of income, please stop by the front office at Stafford to fill out the qualification form. School supplies have been purchased for Prek-6th grades and will be in their classrooms. The only items your student needs are a backpack, water bottle (optional), nap blanket (Prek only). If you have already purchased supplies you can bring them on meet the teacher night, they will be used and appreciated! Hello Gladiators! I hope each of you have had a GREAT summer! It is now time to get back to Gladiator Nation!! STUDENTS WHO HAVE NOT COMPLETED REGISTRATION AND PICKED UP THEIR SCHEDULE - We will not be completing the registration process or handing out schedules during the meet the teacher/walk the schedule time periods. Any student who has not already completed their registration and gotten their schedule will have to wait until the first day of school to get their schedule. No student will receive a schedule without registration being complete. Students who have completed the registration process but are waiting for a schedule change WILL BE ABLE to pick up their new schedule the evening of Meet the Teacher/Walk the schedule. 2023-2024 Student Drug Testing Monday, July 31, 2023 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM Italy High School Cafetorium Once again this school year,  Italy ISD is offering annual student drug testing as part of our comprehensive drug-testing program. Drug and alcohol abuse negatively affect a student’s safety, personal life, health, and academic performance. With parental consent, students in grades 7-12 who plan to participate in any school-sponsored extracurricular activities, as well as student drivers, are encouraged to participate. This program will consist of an initial annual drug test as well as random testing throughout the school year.  The Italy ISD School Board approved Drug Testing Guidelines and consent form can be found at this link:https://5il.co/20k6t All students planning to participate in ANY school-sponsored extracurricular activities, as well as student drivers, are encouraged to complete their drug testing on Monday, July 31, 2023 from 9:00 AM - 12:00 PM in the Italy High School Cafetorium.  Before a student enrolled in 7th-12th grade may participate in any school-sponsored extracurricular activities, receive a District parking permit, or drive on campus, both the student and the parent/guardian shall agree in writing that the student shall submit to the initial annual drug test and subsequent random tests in accordance with the attached guidelines.  Extracurricular activities include, but are not limited to Athletics, Band, Cheerleading, FFA, Civil Air Patrol, National Honor Society, National Junior Honor Society, National Art Honor Society, UIL One Act Play, and UIL academic competitions.

We do not want to cause added frustration to families during the registration process, so we will begin online registration on July 25, 2023. We look forward to beginning the 2023-2024 school year! Stafford Summer School Announcements - please read. We are excited about Italy ISD Summer School, starting tomorrow, Wednesday, May 31st. Drop off starts at 7:30 a.m. Please use the front driveway of Stafford and drop off by cafeteria double doors (facing Harris Street). We will have district staff members outside to help with drop off. If you have not finished registration, parents will be able to do so in the cafeteria the morning of May 31st. Dr. Mathis, our Executive Director of Teaching and Learning, has worked hard finding grants that provided enough money to cover the school supplies for Prek-6th Grades for the 2023-2024 school year!!! They will be distributed directly to the classrooms at the start of the school year. The only items parents would need to purchase is a backpack and optional water bottle!
