Stafford Weekly Announcements: Friday, 1st - No School for Students and Staff Monday, 4th – Labor Day Holiday - No School for Students and Staff Friday, 8th – All students and staff will attend school today, because of the holiday on Monday. Big Kahuna Fundraiser Kick Off 2023-2024 Italy FFA Membership Drive for 3rd-12th Grades – August 21st-September 22nd. Membership dues are $25 and with this you receive a t-shirt too. The official FFA jacket can be purchased at this time. If you need more information please reach out to Mr. Rice, Mr. White or Mrs. Glenn at the High School. Ms. Martinolich at Stafford also has membership forms available. Italy ISD Friday Night Lights and Football Safety & Security Reminders Friday Night Lights in Italy, watching our Gladiator Football Team, is an exciting and fun family-friendly event to show our Italy pride and support our students. Safety and security is of utmost importance not only in our schools but also at all our extracurricular events. For all home football games, all spectators are being asked to remain behind the fence that separates the bleachers/concessions from the track and the field at all times. Spectators will not be allowed on the track or the field before, during or after the game. Staff, students and other individuals working the game will be wearing lanyards with access tags in order to fulfill their responsibilities and provide support for students, spectators and guests. At all times, please make sure the only thing our players and fellow spectators hear from us is cheering on our students. Please refrain from heckling, yelling or using inappropriate language towards our coaches and staff or in front of families, students and small children. Let’s keep this a family-friendly event. At the conclusion of the football game, players will have a few minutes to meet their families at the fence, however, players will remain on the track and families will remain behind the fence. We look forward to seeing everyone at the game! Have fun cheering on our students and spending time with your family and friends! Go Italy Gladiators!

Stafford Weekly Announcements: We had a drill every day for our Fall Semester Safety Week! Students and staff have done a fantastic job! We are also grateful to our students, parents, and staff who help us with morning drop off and after school student pick up go so smoothly and safely. We are dedicated to keeping everyone safe and appreciate all who do as well. The Texas Education Agency (TEA) released a new Family Portal on the Texas Assessment website in January 2023. The Family Portal https://www.texasassessment.gov/ makes it easy for parents and guardians to access their child’s State of Texas Assessments of Academic Readiness (STAAR®) results. It also shows each test question and how the student responded, as well as personalized resources to support learning at home. When you go the the district website and log-in to the Parent Portal, the Texas Assessments Link is on the lower left side of the student summary page, which is the same location that you have accessed before during registration and also to review report cards and progress reports.

My School Bucks website was having some issues. There are a lot of districts that use this site and with all the schools starting it over loaded. Their IT team has been working on it and has let our cafeteria director know that it is now working. You can also add money directly through the cafeteria, cash or checks made out to Italy ISD. Student id number, you can ask your student for their lunch number or contact the front office of Stafford. The Stafford Elementary Staff will be ready to greet their students on Thursday morning! Stafford school hours are 7:45am-4:15pm, doors open at 7:20am and breakfast begins at 7:25am. The car drop off is around the playground off Dilworth Street. Students will enter through the gym doors. DO NOT drop your students off at the front door or from Harris Street. Prek-Kinder students may have 2 people walk them to class on the first day of school only.

For PreK and Kinder parents only, tomorrow morning Wednesday, August 9th the 1st day of school! Two people may walk their Prek or Kinder student to class.

Students must be registered to be on a class list. Please fill out the transportation form in your students' classroom for car rider, walker and bus rider. School supplies have been purchased for Prek-6th grades and will be in their classrooms. The only items your student needs are a backpack, water bottle (optional), nap blanket (Prek only). If you have already purchased supplies you can bring them on meet the teacher night, they will be used and appreciated!
