Stafford Elementary STAAR Announcement: This summer STAAR scores were released for 3rd-6th grade students. Each child has a unique STAAR code. If you are not aware of your child's unique code, they are now available at the front office. Please reach out to Mrs. Baggerly if you would like to see a detailed report of your child's STAAR scores online and have been unable to do so up until this point. She will provide you with the unique code and access information in order to do so. You can also access STAAR scores by logging into your Ascender Parent Portal then clicking the “Texas Assessment” button. Stafford Elementary Reminder: The school day, from start to finish, is vital for the proper educational development of learning for each child. Stafford begins each school day at 7:45 a.m., and students are expected to be in the school building by this time. If a student comes into the building after 7:45 a.m., they will be marked tardy. On the other side of utilizing the full school day of learning, is early pick-ups. Any time a child is picked up before the end of the school day, which is 4:15 p.m., the early pick up will be recorded. Stafford School Hours 7:45 a.m.-4:15 p.m. Stafford doors open at 7:20 a.m. A student is considered tardy if they are not inside the building by 7:45 a.m. Car rider students use the road behind the playground off Dilworth. If your student is tardy you must come into the front office and sign them in. Morning Tardies/Early Pick-Ups/Absences will be counted throughout the school year, and when a student reaches a certain amount, learning recovery will be required. **Excused/unexcused tardies, early pick-ups and absences will follow the Italy ISD Attendance policy guidelines. When your child is absent, please call 972-483-6342 on the day of absence. In addition, a medical or parent note is also required on the day the student returns to school. **For Out of District transfer students, tardies, early pick-ups and absences will be considered in the approval or denial of future out district transfer applications. Dallas Zoo Visits Stafford Kinder-2nd and 3rd-6th (Stafford Gym) End of 1st Six Weeks Friday, 22nd – Staff Development No School for Students 23-24 Italy FFA Membership Drive for 3rd-12th Grades Ends Today. Membership dues are $25 and with this you receive a t-shirt too. The official FFA jacket can be purchased at this time. 2nd-6th Grade - UIL Announcement from Mrs. Wright: Good morning, I am so excited to announce that this week, we will be starting Academic UIL signups. Academic UIL is open to students from 2nd grade through 6th grade. Signing up to tryout for events will be available from September 12th through September 14th. Sign-up sheets will be in the hall leading into the cafeteria and along the outside wall of the stage. Students may sign up during breakfast and lunch. No late sign-ups will be accepted. Tryouts will be based on the number of students signing up for events and will be held the week of September 18th during CAMP time. Thank you!
