30 Day Grace Period for Free/Reduced Lunch Applications The carry-over grace period for students that qualified for free and/or reduced meals during the 2021-2022 school year ends on September 23, 2022. This carry-over grace period lasts for 30 operating days or until there is a new eligibility determination, whichever comes first. During this carry-over period, or until a new eligibility determination is made, reimbursable meals for these students may be claimed at the free or reduced rate. For families that have not yet applied for free/reduced meals for the 2022-2023 school year, September 23, 2022 will be the last day that your child(ren) will receive free or reduced breakfast and lunch.

Friday, September 2nd – Staff Development - No School for Students Monday, September 5th – Labor Day Holiday - No School for Students and Staff **Reminder: The school day, from start to finish, is vital for the proper educational development of learning for each child. Stafford begins each school day at 7:50 a.m., and students are expected to be in the school building by this time. If a student comes into the building after 7:50 a.m., they will be marked tardy and receive a tardy slip to enter class. On the other side of utilizing the full school day of learning, is early pick-ups. Stafford Elementary is blessed to have a variety of community partners, who contribute in various ways. This morning, State Trooper Vela donated a sign to help us with arrival/dismissal. Later in the morning, Central Baptist of Italy donated a check to the Stafford Library to help purchase books for students to read this year. We are thankful and excited for these partnerships as we begin our 2022-2023 school year. God bless and Go Stafford!
