Attention all 6th grade parents, 

It’s that time of year to submit your 6th grade students pictures for the slide show.

Please submit one current and one when they were younger to Mrs. Baggerly lbaggerly@italyisd.org or you can send the actual picture with your student or bring by the office, and we will scan them for you.  Please include the first and last name of the student.

The last date to submit pictures is Thursday, May 9th, thank you!

Stafford's Second Annual Career Day is just around the corner, and we would love your help. The event is scheduled for Monday, May 20th from 1:00 pm - 3:30 pm. We would love to open the world of potential future careers to our students. Can you help?

We are looking for all types of jobs, services, and professions. We would love for presenters to come dressed in their "job attire", and even bring some hands-on experiences for our kids if possible. We'd love mechanics, bakers, businessmen, farmers, etc. The sky is the limit! We want our Stafford students to understand that there is no holding them back when it comes to their future opportunities. There are all kinds of professions from which to choose. To attend pre-k in the upcoming school year, students must be 4 years old or older on or before September 1 ; eligible kindergarten students must be 5 years or older on or before September 1.

Required Documents for Registration

1.     Student’s Certified Birth Certificate

2.     Current Immunization Records

3.     Student’s Social Security Card

4.     Proof of Residency in the form of a current (within last 30 days) electric, gas, water bill or lease agreement. (No other documents will be accepted)

5.     Parent/Legal Guardian’s Government Issued Photo Identification

6.     Proof of Income (PreK Only)

• Current paycheck stubs – at least 2

• TANF/SNAP letter that indicates you receive benefits

• Child Support – Court ordered or other arrangements made (Divorce Decree will not be accepted as proof of child support)

• SSI Disability Proof of Benefits

• 2021 1040 Income Tax Return for Self Employed

Students must meet one of the qualifying criteria in order to register for pre-kindergarten at no charge. 

• Qualifies for the Free/Reduced Lunch program

• Is a Limited English Speaker (An oral language proficiency test will be administered at a later date)

• Is homeless

• Is the child of an active duty member of the armed forces of the U.S.

• Is the child of a member of the armed forces of the U.S. who was injured or killed while serving on active duty 

• Is or has been in the conservatorship of the Department of Family and Protective Services following an adversary hearing

• If they do not qualify we offer a tuition based pre-k at $400 a month.

Teacher Appreciation Week - Teachers inspire hope, ignite the imagination, and instill a love of learning!  Thank you for all your patience every day!   For holding hands, shaping minds, silly songs, and calming fears.  For all the ways you have cared and the wisdom you have shared.  Teaching is the one profession that creates all other professions!  We are oh so grateful for all you do!  Stafford is truly blessed with amazing Teachers!!  THANK YOU! 

Monday: You make us BLOOM. Bring their favorite flower (fresh, fake or drawn) or something with a floral print!

Tuesday: Teachers are NOTEWORTHY.  Write your teacher a note to explain how they have impacted your life this year! 

Wednesday: My Teacher’s a TREAT.  Treat your teacher to their favorite snack or beverage, homemade treats, or candy

Thursday: SUPPLY them with thanks pick any supply your teacher is running low on for your class OR shower them with gifts from the HEART!

The ideas above are all optional if you would like to show your appreciation to teachers and staff in different ways – please feel free.

School Nurse Day!  School nurses are always right there to give comfort and care.  Steady and wise when temperatures rise.  Compassionate, kind, with a medical mind.  Skilled and alert when people are hurt.  Helpful and nice when giving advice.  Dependable, sensible, and indispensable!  A huge thank you to our amazing Nurse Chrissy!!

Thursday, May 16th at High School Football/Track Field

Field Day is a day set aside for Stafford students to participate in fun outdoor events.  Students will ride the bus from Stafford to/from the fields.

What do students wear or bring?  Shorts, tennis shoes, hats, water, sunscreen, a sack lunch or a school sack lunch will be provided. Show school spirit by wearing your PTO field day t-shirt or any Stafford/Italy t-shirt.
