Angie Janek

Welcome Students, Parents, and Community Members:

I would like to take the opportunity to introduce myself.  My name is Angie Janek and I am very excited to be working with all levels of students with dyslexia.  I have taught all subjects at the 3rd grade level, 4th grade ELAR as well as reading and math at the 5th grade level.  I also taught PE here at Stafford.

I earned my Bachelor of Science in 2002, with a major in Interdisciplinary Studies and a minor in Elementary Reading.  I completed my Multisensory Structured Language Educaiton with the Scottish Rite Hospital in 2018 and became a Certified Academic Language Therapist shortly after graduation.

As the dyslexia therapist for Stafford Elementary, I am committed to meeting the educational needs of our students with dyslexia.  My goal is to facilitate a supportive learning environment in collaboration with teachers, students, and parents utilizing the Scottish Rite Take Flight curriculum.  I am dedicated to actively pursuing the most current research information in the field of dyslexia, and I regularly consult with others in the field and seek training in an effort to meet the needs of my students.

I am available to meet with parents every day, between 12:45 p.m. and 1:30 p.m.
